Commerce department of the college organized a One day conference on association with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) Mangalore Chapter on “AUDIT AND ADJUDICATION UNDER GOODS AND SERVICES TAX ISSUES AND CHALLENGES” on 17 May 2024 at conference hall.
The conference began with an inaugural prayer and the traditional lighting of the lamp. Mrs. Aruna P. Kamath, Principal of S.D.M. College of Business Management, grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. CMA Suresh R. Gunjalli, Central Council Member of ICAI, served as the Guest of Honour, and CMA Girish Kambadaraya, Regional Council Member of the Southern India Regional Council, was the resource person for the session.
CMA Girish Kambadaraya delivered an in-depth presentation on “Audit &
Adjudication Under Goods & Services Tax: Issues & Challenges.” His expertise on the subject was evident as he elaborated on the various aspects of GST, including scrutiny, audit, and adjudication processes. The presentation was not only informative but also highly interactive, encouraging active participation from the attendees. Majority of the students and paricipants benefited immensely from the detailed insights provided by the resource person. They gained a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in the audit and adjudication processes under GST. CMA Kambadaraya’s ability to elucidate complex topics in a comprehensible manner was particularly appreciated.
Following the presentation, there was a Q&A session, where participants had the
opportunity to clarify the doubts and engage in meaningful discussions with the expert.
This interactive segment added significant value to the learning experience, making the session both engaging and educational.
The meet concluded at 7:30 PM with the national anthem, marking the end of a
successful and enlightening session, leaving the attendees enriched with knowledge and practical insights into GST- related audit and adjudication. Dinner was served post the session.
Overall, the professional Conference was a resounding success, thanks to the
meticulous planning and execution by the organizing committee.
