The NSS Inauguration Programme of Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College of Business Management, Mangaluru, was held on 4 September 2025.
The event was graced by the Guests of Honour – Mr. Udaya Kumar, Lecturer, SDM Law College; Mr. Sakshath Shetty, General Secretary, BJP Yuva Morcha; Dr. Sheshappa K, NSS Programme Coordinator, Mangalore University; and Mr. Abhilash, Branch Manager, City Union Bank Ltd., Udupi. The programme was presided over by Prof. Aruna P. Kamath, Principal, SDMCBM.
In their addresses, the chief guests highlighted the role of NSS volunteers in building a better society through unity, discipline, and social responsibility. They urged students to actively participate in cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, health awareness programmes, and environmental protection campaigns.
A key highlight of the event was a powerful skit on “Drug Awareness” performed by the NSS volunteers. The performance effectively conveyed the dangers of substance abuse and motivated students to take a firm stand against drug addiction.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Preethika Dharmapal and Mr. Sudarshan K.
