The NSS Unit, Youth Red Cross, and Rovers & Rangers of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management, Mangaluru, jointly organized a Blood Donation Campaign on 15 October 2025 at the college auditorium. The event was conducted to commemorate the Pattaabhisheka of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Ji, honoring his outstanding service to humanity.
The campaign aimed to create awareness about the significance of blood donation and encourage students to contribute towards humanitarian causes. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Deepa Adiga, Director, Blood Centre, KMC Attavar, who highlighted the vital role of blood donors in saving lives. The program was presided over by Principal Prof. Aruna P. Kamath, who appreciated the enthusiasm and participation of the students and volunteers.
A total of 120 students came forward to donate blood under the supervision of medical professionals, ensuring a smooth and safe process. The event witnessed active participation from staff, students, and volunteers, reflecting the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
The campaign was coordinated by Mrs. Preethika Dharmapal, Mr. Sudharshan K., Dr. Sowmya Hegde, Mrs. Shashikala K. G., Mrs. Parinita Salian, and Mrs. Reshmi.
