The National Level I.T. Fest SYGMA–2026 was inaugurated on 13 March
26 at the auditorium of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management, Mangaluru.
The programme was inaugurated by Sankarasubbu Arunachalam, Senior Principal Technology Architect at Infosys, Mangaluru. In his inaugural address, he emphasised the importance of technological innovation and urged students to continually upgrade their skills to keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital landscape. He encouraged students to remain curious, think creatively, and apply technology to solve real-world problems.
The Chief Guest, Rishikesh Shetty, Lead Engineer at Ather Energy, Bengaluru, and an alumnus of the institution, shared insights from his professional journey and motivated students to make the most of the opportunities available to them. He stressed the importance of perseverance, practical knowledge, and continuous learning in building a successful career in the technology sector.
Principal Aruna P. Kamath presided over the programme. Faculty members, students, and participants from various institutions attended the event.
The fest features a series of technical events designed to encourage innovation, analytical thinking, and collaboration among students, providing them with a platform to showcase their technological skills.
