The Hindi Department of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of
Business Management, Mangalore organized a Hindi workshop on the topic “Banking Awareness and Importance of Official Language” on 27 May 2026.
The programme was graced by Mr. Vikas Singh Raghuvanshi,Chief Manager, Baroda Academy, Bank of Baroda, Mangalore; Mr. Wasim Ansari, Rajbhasha Officer, Bank of Baroda, Regional Office, Mangalore; and Dr.P. Balamurugan, Chief Manager (Rajbhasha), Bank of Baroda, Mangalore. The seminar was presided over by Dr. Bhanuprakash B.E., Principal SDM College of Business Management.
The resource persons addressed the students on various aspects of banking awareness, digital banking practices, financial literacy, and highlighted the importance of Hindi as an official language in banking communication and administration. Students actively participated in the session and benefited from the insightful interaction with the experts.
