The SCAN Association of the Department of Computer Applications organized a skill enhancement activity, “Colour Spray – Pixel Palette,” on the theme “Green Computing: Designing a Sustainable Digital Future” on Wednesday, 05 August 2026
The objective of the activity was to create awareness among students about environmentally sustainable computing practices and to encourage them to apply their creativity and technical skills to promote the concept of Green Computing. The event also aimed to enhance students’ proficiency in using digital drawing tools, foster innovative thinking, improve hand-eye coordination, and develop an appreciation for eco-friendly technological solutions through creative expression.
As part of the competition, a nature scenery was displayed through the LCD projector, and the participants were required to recreate the image using the Paint Brush software within the stipulated time. The activity tested the students’ observation, creativity, precision, and digital drawing skills while emphasizing the importance of nature and environmental sustainability.
The competition also encouraged students to think innovatively about environmental conservation while strengthening their confidence in using digital tools for creative problem-solving.
The event was judged by Mr. Akshith Kumar K. and Mrs. Sanjana, who evaluated the participants based on creativity, accuracy, relevance to the displayed image, originality, and overall presentation. The staff in charge of the event was Mrs. Divya Uchil, and the programme was coordinated by Mr. Arun F. Sequeira.
