The Fine Arts Association organized the inauguration of the SDM Yakshagana Training Programmeon 22 August 2026. The programme was graced by Dr. Bhanuprakash B.E., Principal, SDMCBM, as the Guest of Honour, along with Shri Rakesh Rai Adka, Yakshagana Guru, and Shri Vidyabhushan Panjaaje, Yakshagana Artist. The guests highlighted the cultural significance of Yakshagana and encouraged students to learn, perform and preserve this traditional art form for future generations. The initiative aimed to provide students with an opportunity to understand the roots of Yakshagana, develop performing skills and appreciate the cultural heritage of Karnataka. The event was organised by the Fine Arts Association, with Nishanth, Varuni and Gagan serving as the students in charge and staff coordinators Mrs.Sanjana and Mrs.Sowmya Jyothi
