Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management, Mangaluru, organised GENESIS 2026 – “The Grand Voyage: Conquer the Sea, Earn the Crown”, a one-day University-level Management Fest, on 2 September 2026. The fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from 11 degree colleges and 6 PUC colleges.
The fest comprised six events designed to provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their managerial, creative, leadership, communication and teamwork skills. The theme “The Grand Voyage” added an adventurous and engaging spirit to the fest, encouraging participants to compete with enthusiasm and team spirit.
The inaugural ceremony was held at 9:15 a.m. and was graced by Mr. Dilraj Alva, Managing Director, Mangala Resource Management Pvt. Ltd., as the Chief Guest and Inaugurator. Mrs. Minal Raj, Digital Content Creator, YouTuber and Interior Designer and alumna of SDMCBM, was the Guest of Honour.
Throughout the day, students actively participated in the various events, showcasing their talents, strategic thinking and competitive spirit. The fest provided a valuable platform for interaction and healthy competition among students from different institutions.
The valedictory ceremony was held at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Vineeth Sarvotham, Head of Operations and Facilities, Niveus Solutions (Part of NTT DATA), and alumnus of SDMCBM, was the Chief Guest. The winners of the various events were felicitated for their outstanding performances.
The fest was coordinated by Mrs. Veena D. Kotian and Mrs. Smitha M. as Staff Coordinators, along with Mr. Shrujan and Ms. Dhanya Ravi as Student Coordinators.
GENESIS 2026 concluded successfully, providing students with an enriching experience of learning, competition, collaboration and leadership. The dedicated efforts of the management, principal, faculty members, coordinators and students contributed to making the fest a memorable and successful event.
