The Department of Hindi, SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru, organized Hindi Day Celebration on 17 September 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall. The programme was organized to create awareness about the importance of Hindi and to encourage students to develop interest in the language.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Aditi, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members and students. Dr. Bhanuprakash, Principal, SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru, delivered the Presidential Address and highlighted the importance of Hindi in education, communication and national integration.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Nikhita K., Hindi Officer (Rajbhasha), National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, Mangaluru, addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of Hindi and its relevance in the present context.
As part of the celebration, various fun and educational games based on Hindi language and Hindi Day were conducted for the students. Hindi students also presented Hindi songs, adding a cultural dimension to the programme. The activities created an enthusiastic and enjoyable atmosphere among the participants.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Jyothi HOD Hindi Department. Ms. Poorvi proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, coordinators and students for their valuable participation and support.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation and enthusiasm from the students and faculty members.
