he No Food Wastage Committee, under SDM Social Responsibility, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organised a No Food Wastage Awareness Programme on 16th October 2026 at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Mangaluru, during the Dasara celebrations.
The programme aimed to create public awareness about the importance of preventing food wastage and promoting responsible food consumption. The students actively participated in the initiative by educating devotees and the public on the need to respect food, avoid wastage, and ensure its responsible use. The programme was conducted in the context of the food served by the temple as part of the Dasara celebrations.
The initiative reinforced the values of social responsibility, compassion, and environmental consciousness among students. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Shashikala K. G.
