An Anti-Drug Awareness Programme was held here at SDM College of Business Management on 6 November. The programme was organized by the Youth Red Cross of the college.
Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru Central Sub Division, Bunder, Mangaluru city, was the resource person. He discussed various aspects of drug abuse, emphasizing prevention and how to seek professional help.
An educational video on the importance of preventing substance abuse was also screened for the students. On the occasion, all the students took a pledge that they would never consume any kind of drugs or substance in their life.
Prof. Aruna P Kamath, Principal, in her presidential address, educated the students about the health hazards associated with the use of drugs and the importance of leading a healthy and safe lifestyle.
Mrs.Reshmi BR and Mrs.Preethika, Youth Red Cross Officers of the college were present.
