Hindi Diwas and Hindi Inauguration .

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, SDM College of Business Management celebrated the significance of the Hindi language with a vibrant cultural event. The inauguration of the college’s Hindi Association also took place, marking a new chapter in promoting the language on campus on 17 September 2024.

The programme began with a welcome for the chief guest, Mr. Ashwini Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda, Mangalore. Divya, a student coordinator of the Hindi Association, provided a brief introduction of the chief guest. Following this, Pratheeksha, another student coordinator, highlighted the importance of Hindi Diwas.

Sharan Kumar addressed the gathering, extending a warm welcome to everyone present. A token of appreciation was presented to the chief guest by Mrs. Madhumathi J. Raja, Head of the English Department, on behalf of the principal. Mrs. Madhumathi was welcomed with flowers by Dr. Jyothi, Head of the Hindi Department. Additionally, Mrs. Sugnavthi from Bank of Baroda was also honored with flowers by Dr. Shalini, faculty in charge of the Hindi Association.

The program featured a poetry recitation by Raj Patel. A significant highlight was the inauguration of the Hindi Association for the academic year 2024-25, during which the chief guest unveiled the plan of action prepared by the student coordinators. Divya provided a brief overview of this plan.

The chief guest inspired the students with his words, emphasizing the power and significance of the Hindi language. He encouraged them to actively participate in student activities to enhance their skills and knowledge and to seek opportunities for improvement. Mrs. Madhumathi also shared insights on the importance of language and its broader significance.

The program concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks from Pratheeksha. The event was coordinated by Dr. Jyothi and Dr. Shalini.
