On the occasion of 74th Independence Day, SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru celebrated the Independence Day with a difference, This year, the celebrations was silent keeping the ongoing pandemic in mind. The flag-hoisting ceremony was done by the Principal Prof. Aruna P. Kamath and all the staff , maintaining the compliance of social distancing at all times. The NSS students of the college planted saplings in their respective areas and in the memory of the martyrs they named the saplings. The Principal mentioned in her speech that along with the freedom fighters we should remember and salute the all frontliners like the doctors, nurses, police men, sweepers and helpers who are working day and night. She also said that we all should help the society in various possible ways. She pointed out that there’s a need to be strong and positive. The programme was compered by Mr. Tilak Raj and the programme was coordinated by Mrs. Veena D. Kotain and Mrs. Divya Uchil .
