Mangalore inter-collegiate weightlifting championship 2023-2024 was held here at SDM College of Business Management (SDMCBM) on March 18, and 19. The event was organized by SDMCBM jointly with the Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research Mangalore and the Department of Physical Education, Mangalore University.
Dr. B Sadashiva Bhat, Former Principal and Physical Education Director (Rtd), Basudev Somani College, Mysore, and Gururaja, Ekalavya Award Commonwealth Games Medalist in Weightlifting, were the Chief guests. Prof. Aruna P. Kamath, Principal, SDMCBM, presided over the programme.
15 colleges participated in the programme, Men and Women team of Alvas college bagged the overall campionship.
Mr. Sudarshan, (Physical Director, SDMCBM) coordinated the programme.
