Department of Business Administration in association with SEBI and NSDL, India has organized a National Webinar on “An Insight into Capital Market during COVID-19 Pandemic” on 2nd July 2020. The objective of this webinar is to make participant aware of the impact of COVID-19 on Capital Market”
There were two technical sessions. The resource person for the first session was Mr. Arun Panigrahi, Manager, SEBI, India. Mr. Vikas Kumar Jain, Assistant Vice President, NSDL, India was the resource person for the second session .
In the first session, Mr. Arun Panigrahi explained the Indian Security Market and the mandates of SEBI. Highlighting the recent Investor measures by SEBI, he spoke on do’s and dont’s of investing in the security market. Speaking on the impact of COVID-19 on Indian Capital Market, he advised investors on a safe investment.
In the second session, Mr. Vikas Kumar Jain explained the Stock and commodities Derivatives Exchanges. Highlighting the role of NSDL and CDSL in Depositories, he scopes about the other intermediaries in the capital market. 720 participants from all over India have registered for the Webinar. The webinar was held through the Google Meet platform and live streaming on youtube. The webinar was coordinated by Mrs. Smitha M.
