The Governing Council Meeting of SDM College of Business Management for the year 2026 was held on 15 July 2026 at Beedu , Dharmasthala. The meeting was presided over by Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, President, SDME Society, Ujire, and was attended by the members of the Governing Council, the Principal, and management representatives.
Principal, Dr. Bhanuprakash B.E., welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to the members for their continued support and guidance in the growth and development of the institution. He also extended a special welcome to the members who participated in the meeting through the online mode. The minutes of the previous Governing Council meeting were presented, reviewed, and approved by the members.
The principal presented a comprehensive report on the academic and co-curricular achievements of the institution, highlighting the students’ academic performance and extracurricular accomplishments. The Council also reviewed the status of student admissions, examination results, placement activities, and other institutional initiatives.
During the deliberations, the members of the Governing Council offered valuable suggestions for strengthening research activities among faculty members. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing internship opportunities and improving students’ employability through industry-oriented initiatives and skill development programmes.
