SDM College of Business Management hosted a knowledge-packed seminar titled “Shoshin-Blueprint for Success: Unlocking Career Potential” on 2 May 2024, at 1:00 PM in the college’s conference hall. The event attracted faculty members, including Mr. Arun Francis Sequeira and Mrs. Yogita Patgar, as well as students from III BCA ‘A’ and III BCA ‘B’.
The seminar featured Mr. Santhosh Rebello, University Program Manager for MuleSoft at Salesforce, Bangalore, as the key speaker. With his extensive expertise in academics and industry, Mr. Rebello delivered an insightful presentation covering critical topics such as:
- The concept and importance of Shoshin, or the “Beginner’s Mind”
- Rediscovering one’s Beginner’s Mind for personal and professional growth
- An introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its influence in the IT sector
- The rising demand for AI professionals in English-speaking countries
- AI trends and job creation within India
- Top career prospects in AI, the role of continuous learning, and AI + Data + CRM fundamentals
- The importance of career readiness, internships, and continued education

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged actively with Mr. Rebello, seeking clarification and further insights on the discussed topics.
