SDM college of Business Management organised a national conference on “Social Entrepreneurship – A gateway of societal transformation” on 11 February 2020.
The session was inaugurated by Mr. Ashwath Hegde, Founder & Managing Director EnviGreen Biotech India Pvt.Ltd. Pvt.Ltd. Mr. Sudipta AGM, SELCO Solar (p) Ltd.,Bengaluru.will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Rakesh, Deputy Manager, Department of relationships and communications KMC Hospital Mangaluru. & Alumni of SDMCBM was the guest of honour. r. Mr. Ashwath Hegde, in his inaugural address said that it is important to identify the trouble and try to tackle it with technology. He added that one can achieve their dream through dedication, desire and knowing our responsibilities. Guest of honour, Mr Rakesh highlighted that the success of social entrepreneurship depends on like minded people working together for a social cause. Keynote speaker Mr. Sudipta, said that there is a need to apply sense in their endeavours. He added that it important to identify the problem and try seeking solutions for them. Principal , Prof. Aruna P Kamath in her presidential remarks emphasized on the need to equip people with skills and quoted ” Don’t give them fish, teach them how to do fishing.”
The inaugural session was followed by sessions on Social entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development by Mr. Sudipta AGM, SELCO Solar (p) Ltd.,Bengaluru., Opportunities & Challenges in Social entrepreneurship by Mr. Arun KauligeFounder & Managing Director,Kaulige Foods, Bangalore Millets, BengaluruEmployment generation in Social entrepreneurship by Mr. ParthsarathySenior Manager, Projects and Mission Department , SELCO Solar Light (P) Ltd. The conference concluded with paper presentations from various delegates and chaired by Dr. Harshitha, Dr .Muralidhar Rao and Mrs.Gayathri.K. The conference was coordinated by Mrs. Manju H.
