The student council Inauguration of SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore was held on 30 September 2023. The Investiture Ceremony of the office bearers took place in the college auditorium. The office bearers consisted of Student Council, Fest Coordinators, Association Heads and Class Representatives.
The council was inaugurated by M. Ganesh Kamath, President, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). He urged the students to develop a spark, curiosity, positive mindset and a spirit of team work, which would channelize their energies resulting in determined action for the betterment of the institute and society at large.
Chief Guest, Sushanth, Manager-Patient Experience Management Dept. Alumni of the college congratulated the members of Students Council. He said, “Leadership is about choices, choices are made out of vision. Students should develop participatory power which is necessary for leadership”. He advised them to become agents of change.
Prof. Aruna P. Kamath, Principal, in her presidential address, encouraged the students to be proactive leaders.
The Oath Taking ceremony was taken over by Staff Coordinator Mrs.Manju H. The secretaries of the nineteen association presented their plan of action. The student leaders were then presented with their badges.
Tarun and team rendered the prayer, Preethika Bhaliga proposed the vote of thanks. Vishaka Pai compered the programme. Student Council Coordinators Mrs.Manju H and Mrs.Kavitha Prabhu coordinated the programme.
