‘Sygma 2024’, a One-day National-level IT fest was held here at SDM College of Business Management, today. The fest, with the theme ‘Utopia: From Infinite Dreams to Tangible Reality’ was organized by BCA department of the college.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the fest, Tanuja Guruprasad Rao, Senior Principal Consultant-ETA Infosys, Mangaluru, said that the IT Fest provides a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best inventions, thereby inculcating in them a desire to seek additional knowledge and skills in the areas of their interest.
Chief Guest, Shreemukha, Founder and CEO, Buttistore, Co-Founder, C key Technologies (also the Director of the film Damayana and alumnus of the college), shared his college memories. “Students need to be a part of these fests as they nurture young minds and their innovative thinking”, he said.
Prof. Aruna P Kamath, Principal, SDM College of Business Management, in her presidential address, said that the events of the fest are designed in such a way as to promote 21st-century skills required to face challenges.
Various events such as Coding and Debbuging, Web desigining, Paper Presentation, IT Quiz, IT Chaser, Photography and Videography were conducted.
Staff Coordinators Mrs.Sowmya Jyothi and Mrs. Shashiprabha, Student Coordinators Gagan R Shetty and Jithesh S Shetty were present on the occasion.
The programme concluded by singing Sygma Anthem and revealing of trophies.
