A workshop on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility was conducted on 19 July 2022, by EDP cell and consumer forum of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara college of Business Management. The objective of this workshop was to create awareness among the budding entrepreneurs about Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility. It was inaugurated by Dr. Raghavendra Holla. N, chairman of Swasthika National School, Mangaluru; Arjun Mada, Business Development Executive at Exito Media Concepts, also an alumni of the college, was the guest of honour.
In his Inaugural address, Dr. Raghavendra Holla called upon the students to focus on the social responsibility while taking up entrepreneurship. Arjun Mada emphasized on the importance of following a passion in order to emerge as an entrepreneur in future. For prospective entrepreneurs, recognizing business opportunities is crucial he added. Principal, Prof. Aruna P. Kamath, in her presidential address highlighted the need of infusing social responsibility among budding entrepreneurs. The inaugural session was followed by two technical sessions on topics, “Entrepreneurial corporate social responsibility” by Dr. Raghavendra Holla. N , and “Consumerism and Entrepreneurship-key to our environment” by Ms. Ashni, resource person for the district consumer information centre in Mangaluru. The workshop drew a large number of students from various colleges. The session was successful in inspiring aspiring young entrepreneurs to explore the dynamic sector of entrepreneurship.
