NSS Association celebrated World Environment Day-2023 by organising Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Sustainable Environment’ at Conference hall, SDMCBM on 05 June 2023.
The resource person of the event was Mr Natesh Alva, Agriculturist and NSS Programme Officer, Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangalore. He said that we should run towards saving the environment before we have to run towards survival battle and let’s preserve the most beautiful thing in the entire galaxy our Environment. Mrs Divya Uchil, Dean, Department of Computer Application, presided over the programme and in her presidential address stated that, with the theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ for World Environment Day 2023, students should take initiative to reduce and recycle single use plastic and e-waste. On the occasion of Vanamahotsava, saplings were planted in the college garden as a step towards greener environment. More than 150 students attended the event.
