The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Association was inaugurated on 30th July 2026 at the Conference Hall. The Chief Guest, Dr. Madhusudan Upadya, Professor, Department of Anesthesiology, HOD of Emergency Medicine, KMC, Mangalore, in his insightful address, emphasized the significance of Basic Life Support (BLS)and explained how timely and appropriate first aid measures, including CPR and emergency response techniques, can save lives during critical situations. He encouraged students to acquire basic life-saving skills and be prepared to respond effectively during emergencies. Dr. Bhanuprakash B.E., in his presidential address, encouraged students to actively participate in YRC activities and contribute towards building a compassionate and resilient society. The formal inauguration was marked by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and service. Ms. Deeksha K. presented the plan of action for the academic year, outlining the activities and initiatives of the YRC unit. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Dhanya K. Rai. Mrs. Parinita Salian, Mrs. Reshmi, and Mrs. Varsha Rai coordinated the programme.
